Our Mission

The Philbeck Foundation was created out of a simple conviction: when we see people hurting, we have a responsibility to step in and help. We have been blessed with resources, opportunities, and relationships, and we believe those blessings come with an obligation to give back.

Isaiah 58 Commitments

Rooted in Isaiah 58, the Philbeck Foundation serves with dignity and compassion by feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, clothing those in need, and setting free those bound by hardship. Our work begins in Monroe County, Michigan and extends across the nation and to Monrovia, West Africa.

Feed

The Philbeck Foundation seeks to promote an environment where children can feel safe, succeed and flourish without worry of basic needs like food, clothing and adequate shelter.

Shelter

We seek to support efforts which directly impact the physical and emotional wellness of children with limited access to health care. We believe that no child should go to bed hungry, and so we provide children and families in the area with the food and essentials kids need to grow and thrive.

Clothe

The Philbeck Foundation seeks to bridge gaps between children and the academic services to provide as many children as possible with the tools and resources necessary to build a better future for themselves and those that follow.

Set Free

Children, particularly those from disadvantaged homes, can greatly benefit from character skills (like self-control, perseverance, gratitude, for example) and other essential life skills. Additionally, developing social and emotional learning skills (like self-awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making) can help a child feel more engaged at school and manage relationships better–all increasing their chances for academic success, health and happiness.

Outreach Programs

Our Outreach Programs provide free assistance to those struggling in the surrounding communities in the form of food, clothing, furniture, childrens’ programs and more. This support allows families and individuals to focus on their personal growth, family health, and stability while having basic needs met on a consistent basis.
